Day 14 - Sunday March 2
Today we went to the village in the morning to lay out the wetland area. The villagers helped us clear the area (there were bushes, sticks and random other debris in the proposed location). The laborers came later in the day and began the excavation. The excavation for the main body of the wetland was started today. The excavation for the settling tank and the trenching for the infiltration pipe will probably occur tomorrow.

kim it sounds like you are moving right along.even when there were bumps in the road, your blog always was upbeat.you willed yourself to do whatever it took to succeed.an incredibly enlightened person, after hearing someone mutter"can't see the forest through the trees"blogged his aristoplastique daughter and replied "just start chopping"good job kim keep chopping
Kim, keep up the great attitude and try not to get discouraged since you don't have a translator. Remember you are doing a great thing. This is most certainly a test in flexibility and making changes on the fly. Sounds like you are doing a great job.
